In order to meet the demand for manufacturing medical devices for the Chinese domestic market, the TOHEI Group established Dongguan TOHEI  Technological Industrial Co., Ltd. as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong TOHEI Electronics Industry Co., Ltd. First, we obtained permission to produce medical devices for domestic use in China on May 17, 2024, and began manufacturing medical devices, and completed production and shipment of the first lot in June.

The first product we manufactured was a “single horizontal sleeping breathing machine” for Unchuhisha. 　This is a medical device mainly used to treat sleep apnea syndrome caused by snoring.

 

 

In order to contribute through manufacturing to the medical, nursing and nursing care field, which is important as a fundamental industry and will continue to grow, TOHEI Group understands customer needs and cooperates with related departments to develop products in China. Starting with products for the domestic market, we will advance our business while strengthening our ability to respond to each country’s markets.

 

In Japan, Fukushima Prefecture, where our group holding company, TOHEI Holdings, is located, is a hub for the medical device industry in eastern Japan, and we collaborate with organizations inside and outside the prefecture, such as the Fukushima Medical Device Development Support Center. T&H Design Co., Ltd., a design and development company, is active as a member company of the Fukushima Prefecture Medical and Welfare Equipment Industry Council, and by utilizing this network, we will cooperate with our customers’ business support.
